We work in four areas essential to progress: cultivating leaders, empowering youth, strengthening institutions, and increasing access to quality education and information.Job SummaryIREX seeks a full-time Senior Program Coordinator for the Communities and Governance Practice to support our programming in Mexico.This full-time position will play a crucial role in assisting the IREX Mexico-based Program Manager in the successful execution of program activities. This role involves providing comprehensive support across programmatic, financial, administrative, and logistical aspects to ensure seamless implementation.Key responsibilities include facilitating effective collaboration among program components, organizing events, communicating with stakeholders and vendors, drafting program-related documents, supporting monitoring and evaluation activities, and assisting with translation tasks. The Coordinator will also communicate with local partners, contribute to Spanish-language communications products, prepare reports, and facilitate communications with stakeholders.The Coordinator will be responsible for the development of program work products related to the legal support network and communications, including ensuring alignment with compliance requirements. Flexibility to perform general management tasks is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.We are doers. Our decades of on-the-ground experience help us create greater impact, practical recommendations, and lasting partnerships.We're looking for our next team member—could it be you?Knowledge & SkillsDemonstrated technical knowledge related to internal migration in Mexico.Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills including time management, ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment, and ability to remain flexible while adhering to strict deadlines.Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communications skills, both oral and written required.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Ability to follow oral and written instructions.Good writing skills in both English and Mexican Spanish Languages.Positive attitude and willingness to support and assist colleagues.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in a relevant fieldYou must have unrestricted authorization to work in MexicoMinimum of 2 years' relevant work experience.Fluency in English and Spanish is required.Your Daily TasksProvide a full range of program support to the IREX Mexico-based Program Manager in implementation of program activities.Provide programmatic, financial, administrative, and logistical support to ensure smooth implementation of the program.Assist in the organization of program events, including training, meetings, and workshops.Communicate with vendors and other subcontractors.Support effective collaboration within the program components as well as partners, stakeholders, experts, trainers, and key stakeholders. For legal and communication activities, the Coordinator is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to program consultants as necessary to ensure impact and quality.Draft program-related documents, financial payments, reports, and success stories. For legal and communication activities, ensure quality and impact of strategic program work products.Provide support for monitoring and evaluation activities, data collection, and reporting.Assist program staff as needed and provide general support to staff including note-taking, and other relevant duties.Travel throughout Mexico to attend program events and meetings (if possible and according to IREX policy).Under the supervision of the Program Manager, communicate with local implementing partners regarding technical performance and deliverables, including programmatic, financial, monitoring and evaluation reporting.Support the development, design, and distribution of Spanish-language communications products detailing ambulantes program findings, events, tools, and/or successes.Preparation of reports on the results of the program implementation.Support the Program Manager and IREX HQ team with general administrative tasks including but not limited to coordinating domestic travel, event logistics, purchasing equipment, and financial reimbursements.Responsible for diligent record keeping of program-related documents, financial forms and payments.Other support duties as needed.At IREX, you'll work alongside committed, passionate, and collaborative colleagues who are united by a shared mission—making it a truly rewarding place to work.
