NTT DATA North America is looking for a Cloud DBA Lead to join our team in City of Mexico, Guanajuato (MX-GUA), Mexico. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Cloud DBA Lead who will manage PostgreSQL, MongoDB and RedisDB databases across GCP, Azure and AWS RDS. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and 24/7 shift level support. The role also requires documentation of knowledge base articles, SOPs, and runbooks. Preferred Experience 10+ years supporting traditional server‑based relational databases (PostgreSQL, RedisDB and MongoDB) with over 6+ years in public cloud environments (GCP). Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL/MongoDB installation, configuration, performance tuning and troubleshooting. Proven expertise managing PostgreSQL databases on Azure, GCP and AWS RDS. Experience with automated backups, maintenance, scaling and monitoring tools on GCP. Ability to analyze and optimize complex SQL queries for performance improvement. Knowledge of disaster recovery plans and implementation on AWS RDS, Azure SQL and GCP Cloud SQL. Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices. 24/7 shift support at L3 level and experience updating KB articles, Problem Management articles and SOPs. Excellent written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers. ITIL foundation experience and ability to work independently without direct supervision. Mentor and cross‑train peers and team members. Basic Qualifications 10+ years of overall operational experience. 6+ years of GCP experience as a cloud DBA (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RedisDB). Experience in a 24/7 production support model. MongoDB query fine tuning and shell scripting for monitoring. Automated backup and restore procedures using shell scripts or Ops Manager. Database health check, upgrades, maintenance and architecture design. Documentation of best practices, log rotation, user role segregation, and disaster recovery plans. High‑availability solutions and root cause analysis for business‑impacting issues. Experience with SQL, SQL Developer, TOAD, PgAdmin, MongoDB Atlas. Python / PowerShell scripting preferred; secondary skills in MySQL/Oracle; DB2 a plus. B.Tech/BE/MCA in Information Technology or equivalent experience. Preferred Certifications Azure fundamentals certification (AZ‑900) – required. Google Cloud Associate Engineer – required. Azure Database Certification (DP‑300) – preferred. AWS Certified Database Specialty – preferred. PostgreSQL certification – plus. MongoDB certification – plus.
