OverviewRisk Underwriter - Financial Services role at Siemens.The Risk Management group of Siemens Financial Services-Commercial Finance is seeking an Underwriter to process large and mid-ticket transactions.The position will primarily support the Vendor Industrial business and Siemens HC transactions.The primary function is to prepare rating and lending reports in support of new business.The position reports to the Chief Risk Officer located at the SFS Mexico City office.ResponsibilitiesGather information from prospective customers and industry sources, including credit reports, references, D&B and personal credit reports.Review and analyze customer financial information, account statements and tax returns.Prepare Credit and Risk Rating Reports for proposed transactions.Establish customer borrowing limits and structure higher risk transactions.Facilitate onboarding and approval of new vendor accounts.Analyze large and mid-ticket transactions, including financial assessment, risk rating, debt capacity analysis, business model assessment, business plan analysis, impact of document negotiations, and other analysis as dictated by the transaction.Review and interpret external rating agency reports.Spread and analyze customer financial statements.Conduct in-person and phone credit due diligence.Familiarity with local regulatory framework and compliance requirements for SOFOMs in Mexico.Interact with and support sales colleagues and management; collaborate with Compliance and Legal Department on documentation issues.Help and complete tasks and projects as needed and as the Risk Department may require.Maintain data integrity and compliance with company policies and procedures.Communicate credit decisions to internal and external contacts.Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and ExperienceBA or BS degree in finance, business, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of credit underwriting experience in a commercial (non-consumer) environment in Industrial and Health Care markets.Ability to work independently and to make logical and confident lending recommendations and decisions.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop and maintain good internal and external customer relationships.Proficiency with MS Office applications (e.G., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong technical writing skills; ability to present information concisely and logically to support credit decisions and recommendations to senior management.Solid knowledge of fraud prevention techniques.Professional working proficiency in English.Experience interviewing clients face to face.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and ExperienceFormal training in Lending / Cash Flow.Experience negotiating terms and conditions of transactional documents.Hybrid work schedule: attendance at the office 2–3 days per week.Travel requirement: 25%.Employment type: Full-time.Job function: Finance.Industries: Automation Machinery Manufacturing.Seniority level: Mid-Senior.Siemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affir mative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their race, color, creed, religion, national origin, citizenship status, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital status, family responsibilities, pregnancy, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, transgender, sex stereotyping, protected veteran or military status and other categories protected by federal, state, or local law.#J-*****-Ljbffr
