OverviewOverview: Exercises independent judgment in evaluation selection and use of standard techniques in the design and planning of medical and healthcare facilities and solves problems when encountered. Possesses and applies a diversified knowledge of architectural principles practices and procedures to complete assignments with originality and ingenuity. Anticipates job expectations and contributes to project and design solutions.ResponsibilitiesAssists in creating reviewing and coordinating the architectural floor plans interior elevations reflected ceiling plans and equipment plans of clinical spacesMay direct or review the work of project teamFollows the planning and design information through the production and implementation documentation process to ensure continuity of the design intentParticipates in the conceptual design of healthcare projectsTranslates client operational model into architectural design/medical planMay function as contact person for client questionsApplies governing regulatory codes and hospital licensing standards and validates that those requirements for assigned segment of project are metFacilitates discussions with end users to generate solutions in real-timeCoordinates or prepares drawings and designs in accordance with HKS standards best practice and quality expectationsUnderstands research methodology and integrates research into practiceParticipates in and may lead team meetings to discuss project issues technical issues and coordination with other disciplinesMaintains detailed documentation of client meetingsMay be responsible for preparing meeting minutes and other appropriate documents for consultant coordination meetingsUnderstands fundamental accounting principles and the project accounting processCollaborates in and may be responsible for delivering a project on defined budget requirementsMaintains accountability to project plan and planned utilization rateDevelops and maintains excellent relationships with existing and potential clientsSupports the business development process by identifying new opportunities marketing current clients for repeat business and assisting with proposals budgets and schedulesQualificationsAccredited professional degree in Architecture or related fieldArchitectural Registration strongly preferredTypically 5 years of experience with a healthcare design and planning backgroundSustainable design accreditation preferredAdvanced knowledge in architectural software such as Revit AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (including Rhino and Grasshopper) preferredProficiency in MS Office Suite preferredKnowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelinesAdvanced knowledge of current healthcare planning and programming concepts including patient safety and evidence-based design principlesProficient knowledge of guidelines for design and construction of healthcare facilitiesStrong knowledge of architectural building systems building codes and accessibility guidelinesStrong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same timeAbility to communicate and present ideas in a clear concise and professional manner both verbally and in writingKey SkillsGIS, JAWS, Military Experience, Business Management, Emergency Management, Joint Operations, Production Planning, Relationship Management, Strategic Planning, ERP Systems, Exercise Planning, MRPEmployment TypeFull-TimeExperienceyearsVacancy1HKS is an EEO/AA Employer: M/F/Disabled/Veteran #J-18808-Ljbffr
