**Job Description Summary**: Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis.In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.In this role the leader will oversee the different accounting processes in NAM, acting actively on supporting other Finance areas and ensuring the accounting is flowing correctly in each process, will lead the closing activities for the Sub Region..This manager will also have in their responsibilities the Account Reconciliation report out and the late journal entries posting for all Americas Region.**Roles and Responsibilities**- Responsible for designing and implementing internal controls over financial reporting, including accounting policy implementations, SOX, distributed controllership, process simplification and internal controls over IPP monitoring and risk.Serve as controllership experts on financial system and ERP implementations.- Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline.Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills.Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.Provides informal guidance to new team members.Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.- Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field.The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance.- Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems.Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.- CSA MAT Sponsorship and analyst.- Support any adhoc entry and internal analysis is required.- Monitor the closing activities and maintain the zero balance and suspense accounts in the required amount levels.- Proactively look for process improvements.- Assignment and Reviewer responsibilities in the account reconciliation process in ARM for US and Canada.- Unreconciled resolution for US&CAN.- Perform the BS Flux and BS Deep Dive analyses for US&CAN.- Posting of LJEs for all Americas.- Consolidation of full AMR account rec status and action plans, report outs.**Required Qualifications**- .Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting related discipline from an accredited university or college- CA or CPA; Minimum of 5 years combined experience in multinational industrial companies.- Excellent communication skills in English and proven previous interaction with OTR Finance in Gas Power.- Proven US GAAP knowledge.- Knowledge in CSA revenue recognition & Alterix Model Global Development to support the annual recalculations.- Proven experience in mid-long term projects.- Proven experience in closing accounting, ME, CoCo and LE structure and basis for quality in accounting.- Proven outstanding metrics in account reconciliations.- Proven deep knowledge of accounting processes and excellent skills in complex accounting.- ERP: general knowledge of CCL, active user in Oracle Uniform, PMx, FDL, ARM, DRM.**Desired Characteristics**- Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Established project management skills.- Proven time management, priorities organization.- Proactive, humble and candor.- English - advanced level.**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:No
