Career Area Manufacturing Role Definition Provides support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing components on first operations. Responsibilities Meet with customers and designers to evaluate the feasibility of manufacturing the components and define if the part can be made in house or sent to purchase finished. Develop capital projects to implement new technologies or replace obsolete machinery with better performance ones. Participate in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes. Monitor equipment and process reliability; identify and address problem areas. Analyze engineering change notices, determine any part or process change, initiate and implement all changes. Provide engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities. Degree Requirement Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or related. Skill Descriptors Decision Making And Critical Thinking Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members. Analyzes assumptions and historical frameworks, evaluates decision options and impacts, and guides others in applying effective decision-making approaches. Lean Manufacturing Require knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts. Leads lean implementation by addressing technical and people challenges, optimizing work cell design, applying assessment tools, and monitoring effectiveness. Manufacturing Equipment Perform routine maintenance and inspections, set up and test machines, apply diagnostic tools to resolve issues, and ensure equipment safety and performance. Working knowledge with torque tools, assembly tools, and interpretation of drawings and specifications. Manufacturing Processes Extensive knowledge of cutting processes, chamfers, and bending. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes focused on First Operations. Provide expert guidance, develop best practices, train on full manufacturing processes, and evaluate and optimize methodologies and technologies. Additional Information Location: Santa Catarina, MX. Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:24 am to 5:00 pm. Relocation assistance is not available. Travel: may require 10% international and domestic travel.
