Operations Support Senior AssociateEquinix is the world's digital infrastructure company, operating 200+ data centers across the globe and providing interconnections to all the key clouds and networks.Businesses need one place to simplify and bring together fragmented, complex infrastructure that spans private and public cloud environments.Our global platform allows customers to place infrastructure wherever they need it and connect it to everything they need to succeed.We are a fast-growing global company with 70+ consecutive quarters of growth.Through our innovative portfolio of high-performance products and services, we have created the largest, most active global ecosystem of nearly 10,000 companies, including 1,800+ networks and 2,900+ cloud and IT service providers in over 26 countries spanning five continents.Joining our operations team means that you will be at the forefront of all we do, maintaining critical facilities infrastructure as part of a close-knit team delivering best in class service to our data center customers.We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.**What you will be doing**- Provide process and system guidance to a geographically diverse team of data centers technicians and engineers who install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain telecommunications infrastructure for the organization.- Maintains current knowledge with relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.- Warehouse support & escalations.- Triage ("Tier 1") support for the system, process, install & technical issues.- Understand and be able to guide our site teams on our various systems, operational processes, and procedures on an as needed basis.- Work with individuals from all the sites in the AMER region and various customer facing teams.- Exhibit and analytical mindset to assess and approve/reject out of process requests that can affect customer experience and expectations.- Operate as an Admin for systems such as Siebel, Oracle, Service Now, etc.- Review order exception requests and approve/reject based on what is best for the business.- Work with cross functional groups on projects and escalation resolution.- Provide technical guidance on hardware requirements and review new hardware such as BERT testers, OLTS, OTDR, etc.- Provide transaction level system/data fixes (IT INC) or escalate as needed.- Assist with UAT for system and process changes.- Review customer issues and provide post-incident support.**What you should have**- A Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Business Information Systems, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.- Experience with datacenter activities such as installation and deinstallation of infrastructure and troubleshooting of physical layer connections.- In depth knowledge of BICSI RCDD, EIA/TIA, ITU, Telcordia, IEEE.- Advanced English**Why Equinix**The opportunity to be part of the digital transformation in the world in a company that was elected by the employees as the best places to work by Glassdoor and it ´s is GPTW for several consecutive years.Equinix is an equal opportunity employer.All applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, status as a protected veteran, or status as a qualified individual with disability.
