Responsible of procure all the direct materials required to manufacture a part ensuring Global Purchasing Policies compliance.Support implementation of new technologies through supplier management and collaboration.Analyze and monitor compliance with committed savings.**Main Responsibilities**:- Develop sub-categories strategy and align sourcing accordingly.- Track and update industry data on components pricing trends, available suppliers, quality & compliance and overall market con- Support flawless launches.- Drive and support cost reduction initiatives through strong collaboration with operations.- Build a network of key stakeholders both regionally and globally, leading to successful procurement and effective supply management- Daily responsibility for forecasting, planning, organizing, and directing the purchasing activity including, but not limited to, preparing bid packages and RFP/Q, supplier selection, price negotiations, contract development, supplier on-boarding, supplier management and building strong stakeholderrelationships.- Request for quote supporting new programs, current business and design changes; following Nemak guidelines.- Consolidate and present quote responses with recommendation for sourcing based on multiple bids, qualified supplier, and acceptable terms (preferably standard terms and conditions)- Gain familiarity with supply base and research potential suppliers to help find commercial solutions that improve performance and efficiency- Assist in development of budget and achieve targets (usually 2% of price) for annual cost reductions.- Assist supplier quality and plant management in resolving Supplier, Nemak, and OEM issues where related to the supplier.- Qualifying and vetting of new suppliers.Actively seek, review, and visit potential suppliers.- Ensure Global Purchasing Policies compliance- Prepare Commercial Evaluation Analysis and quote comparison using tables, NPV methods, and others as required to present best possible solutions- Communication skills that demonstrate speed, clarity, and a drive for results- Negotiate to achieve best cost, terms, and timing.**Position Requirements**:- Engineering degree preferred- Strong ability to understand organization operations and processes- Communication and Negotiation Skills- Decision-making skills**Experience in**:- Minimum 5 years' of purchasing experience- Previous Manufacturing experience- Fluent with SAP, Excel, Power Point, and other business software- Be fluent with using commodity indexes and market pricing to develop and manage contracts with variable components.- Contract management- At Nemak, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (D&I) play a fundamental role in everything we do and are the underlying platform on which our culture is built.We foster a culture that is safe, respectful, fair and inclusive for all of our employees and job applicants.Our value proposition relies on innovation and cross-cultural teamwork, which is only possible when we strive for belonging and commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.We understand the impact equality and of varied perspectives that welcome better ideas to solve complex problems for improvement and transformation._- We are proud to have bias-free conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, and promotions, and we welcome all our employees and job applicants.We strongly prohibit any form of workplace harassment or discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status._
