**Buyer - Direct Material**:**Take your next career step at ABB with a global team that is energizing the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future.At ABB, we have the clear goal of driving diversity and inclusion across all dimensions: gender, LGBTQ+, abilities, ethnicity and generations.Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.**:As a Material Planner, you will play a vital role in the procurement and logistics team in Matamoros, México.You will be performing planning, ordering & expediting by ensuring that all purchasing activities are align with corporate policies and procedures.**This position reports to**:Planning & Fulfillment Manager**Your responsibilities**:- Purchasing materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms.- Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions, Planned orders and in alignment with standard procedures.- Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues.- Collaborates with sourcing team for obtaining the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on time-deliver, MOQ, quality, lead-time and expedites.- Resolve invoice discrepancies.- Manages MRP (Material resource planning) exceptions messages daily.**Your background**:- Bachelor's degree from and accredited university or college.- 3 years of experience in similar position.- Previous Experience in Planning, Scheduling & Customer Service Roles.- SAP (desirable).- Advanced English.- Strong oral and written communication.- Proficient in Microsoft Office.**More about us**:
