You are welcome here Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) Consultant What can you expect? The purpose of the M&A Consultant role is to advise on the HR due diligence, preparation for day one and post close project execution by collecting, analyzing and synthesizing key human resource information. Also, your effective assistance in identifying and closing on value adding opportunities for the Client throughout the M&A process is one of key areas of the role. You will leverage your outstanding project management skills to help drive post-merger strategies in health, wealth and careers all with the aim to build the company's most important asset, their people. We will count on you to : Be a part of HR due diligence process in M&A transactions across LAC. HR due diligence topics may include : _ Workforce identification & related strategies mapping, Benefits design and deal-related strategies (incl. pension & health), Compensation and total rewards strategies, Organizational design / cost synergy modeling and execution, Addressing retention and flight risks of top talent, Analyze employee census, payroll and benefits data and documents, prepare reports, recommendations and memorandums for key findings Recognize red flags and people risks in M&A transactions Support preparation of the valuation models for transaction advisory purposes Take part in calls with the C‑Suite, financial and HR executives of Mercer's top clients Develop reports / presentations and other client‑facing documents to support strategic discussions with Mercer's top clients Build relationships with Mercer colleagues across LAC. What you need to have : Bachelor ´s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field. 3 to 5 years of professional experience preferable in HR consulting; Compensation and benefits advisory or HR project management. A strong command of spoken and written English is a must. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work of significant complexity and scale within tight deadlines. Significant personal initiative and professional drive. Ability to be successful in a fast‑paced, changing environment & willingness to work at the pace and in the hours required by client M&A activity. Strong research and analytical skills, must have a demonstrated passion for analytics and the insights realized from processing raw information and data. Excellent interpersonal & people skills as well as strong team collaboration skills Highly driven, confident, resilient, positive and motivated individual. Advanced Microsoft Office user : knowledge of Excel based tools. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to adapt to various people and working styles under tight deadlines.
