Company DescriptionThe IKEA vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people.We do this by offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible can afford them.We operate in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand - and have an ambitious expansion plan to bring a little bit of Sweden to new markets in the region.We are part of the Ikano Group of companies and the only IKEA franchisee owned by the Kamprad family that founded IKEA.We also develop, own and operate Shopping Centres that are anchored by IKEA and create walkable communities by including residential, office and other types of real estate in our development plans.We work towards making sustainability a natural part of our everyday work.We are active in our communities, driving and supporting social initiatives that benefit children, women and the environment.**Job Description**:To be a strategic partner to the CFO in establishing a competent finance organisation in Ikano Retail, so as to support the growth of IKEA and Shopping Centre businesses.This function provides financial leadership to ensure that Finance Department contributes effectively towards the achievement of organisational financial goals and objectives by:- Leading the Country Finance team in the management of all accounting and finance administration.- Providing timely, relevant and accurate financial information advice to Management Team and the Board to facilitate sound business decisions.- Produce timely & accurate statutory and management financial reporting.- Building, managing & developing a competent country Finance team.- Lead the team to produce the statutory and management financial report in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards, local Financial Reporting Standards, IKANO Group and IKANO Retail accounting manual.- Ensure the team produce accurate and timely financial reports on actuals, budget & forecast to the local management, IKANO Group and Business Council.- Ensure the quality of the financials reported through monthly business performance review by presenting monthly financial statements to Finance Manager, IKEA SEA, Group Consolidation and Reporting Manager and Regional Financial Controller.- Reporting for local as well as group purposes in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with relevant IFRS's.- Manage and follow up of budget, forecasts and actuals for Support Functions, allowing analysis at different viewpoints through the business.- Support the budget, forecasts and actuals for other business lines of the entity.- Review and ensure the actual, budget and forecast submissions in Cognos Controller and TM1 for Ikano Retail and Group Finance.- Lead the team to ensure tax compliance by securing the correctness and timeliness of Monthly/Quarterly VAT/GST, Withholding Tax, local indirect tax and Yearly Corporate Tax filings and returns.- Monitor the cash flow to secure efficient use of funds for ongoing operations and planned investments.Coordinate and manage the relationship with the banks on all cash management matters.- Lead the team to managing an end-to-end statutory audit process and closely cooperate and coordinate with external auditors to produce timely and accurate audited financial statement.- Liaise and deal with the Tax authorities and ensure compliance on all relevant regulatory matters.- Participate in finance related projects, identify project requirements and support roll-out in other regional countries.- Maintains accounting controls by defining operational accounting policies & procedures.Identify operational process improvements and system enhancements and engage the necessary stakeholders for discussion to implement the change.- Lead and develop the Accounting Team in Service Office and Stores (if applicable), setting up directions and goals and following up on them.- Manage the team human resource matters.- Other ad-hoc tasks related to accounting and finance.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor of Accountancy degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant Accounting & Finance experience, CPA is an advantage.- Good communication skills with strong identification with IKEA culture and values- Good command of written & spoken English and local language.- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics MVBC will be an advantage.- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.- Ability to lead and coach a team.- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines- Ability to work independently in a team and in a multinational environment, with mínimal supervision.- Self-starter that shows initiative and takes responsibilities.- Driven by result and business impact.- Desire to always look for the most pragmatic and efficient, yet compliant, way of working.- Exposures in retail industry will be an advantage.Additional Information
