Job DescriptionSelf-motivated and self-driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment to drive solutions.Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously.Liaison between our manufacturing facility and OEM's to our Automotive customers in North America and overseas.Essential Job Responsibilities:- Monitor daily incoming customer demand thru EDI and take care of daily customer's shipments and order entry in to SAP for non-EDI customers.- Maintain Customer Master Data and Material Master Data in SAP.- Coordinate the new product introduction with the manufacturing plant/OEM and our warehouse to meet customer's material required dates and in compliance with the customer specific requirements: product labeling and paperwork.- Manage the customer communication on demand changes, special delivery requirements and urgent solutions if necessary; identify customer increases and provide them with a recovery plan after an agreement with the manufacturing plant/OEM.Be available outside of normal work hours for customer emergencies.- Monitor any missed shipments and work with manufacturing plan or supplier to provide a recovery plan to customer; Work with customer's logistics contacts to arrange shipments, following each customer's routing instructions.Meeting the Outbound delivery performance and premium freight goals.- Collaborate with cross functions (Program Managers, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Production) to fulfill customer supply chain requirements including package submission, capacity survey and logistics audit.- Monitor on hand stock coverage and surplus inventory analysis to achieve inventory goals, managing phase in / phase out from ECN's (Engineering changes) and follow up the EOL process along with the manufacturing plant and customers to avoid obsolescence.Knowledge & Skill Requirements:Excel skills using formulas, charts, pivot tables, macros, waterfallsMicrosoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook)Experience with SAP: MM, SD, WM modules and reporting (BI)Data oriented, analytical and logical thinking with excellent organizational and planning skills.Strong verbal and written communications skills when interacting with both internal and external customers.Proactive and self-driven; willing to take more responsibilities.Can work under pressure and can deal with multi-tasks by priority.Interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of employees & customers.Familiarity with key performance metrics and customer specific requirements for automotive.Position Success Criteria:Must be manufacturing oriented, team player, problem solver.Must exhibit a high degree of reliability, problem solving, resource planning and purchasing skills, scheduling, and leadership skills to ensure results.Must project confidence, courtesy, firmness, organization, and ability to analyze data.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree required.Engineering/Business preferred3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment of Planning/Buying experience1+ years of experience in automotive industry preferred3+ years of customer interface experience managing multilevel accounts.Experience in the order fulfillment processExperience with Quality systems: ISO ****, ISO ***** and IATFPreferred QualificationsAPICS certificate (CPIM)Buyer/Planner using SAPLean Manufacturing certification (Yellow belt, Green belt)Process documentation and updates
