Department Stores Key Account Manager
Lead together with the Country Director the business development of the main department store accounts in the territory of Mexico. This role is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key buyers, optimizing both product presence and account performance. The manager will develop competitive and relevant Key Account Plans by channel, account, and gender, aligning these strategies with the company's strategic objectives. This position combines skills in sales, negotiation, and KPI analysis to maximize each account's potential and drive growth in line with market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management and Development
- Lead in-store space negotiations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the buyers, building strong and trustworthy relationships.
Sales Strategy Planning and Execution
- Define and implement sell-in and sell-out strategies to achieve established sales targets.
- Work closely with the buyers and marketing teams to ensure alignment between product offerings and client needs.
KPI Management and Performance Analysis
- Monitor and analyze account KPIs, generating regular reports to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Adjust commercial strategies based on data analysis and market feedback.
- Continuously benchmark activities through market and key account data analysis.
Account Budget Management
- Manage and optimize the budget allocated for each account, ensuring efficient resource use.
- Track return on investment for campaigns, promotions, and other client-specific activities.
Market and Buying Insights
- Analyze market trends and provide recommendations for the development of new product lines or the optimization of existing ones.
- Provide continuous feedback to the buying and product teams based on client demands and market dynamics.
Team & Organization
- Evolve and develop the commercial structure and team members.
- Engage, motivate, and lead the commercial team to drive brand expansion and performance.
- Ensure a joint business plan mindset and follow up across the commercial organization.
- Ensure the commercial team receives competitive commercial and physical support, initiatives, and sales tools to increase sales, drive stronger sell-out, and expand distribution.
Required:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role.
- Well-networked in the industry.
- Affinity for footwear, fashion, and lifestyle.
- Strong negotiator with fantastic organizational skills and a proactive approach.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, can-do attitude and hands-on mentality.
- Strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
- Analytical skills to interpret KPIs and propose strategies.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
