As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team. As a servant leader, you will ensure that your team of Amazon Associates has all the tools needed to succeed in any task during a shift. Engaging with your team to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance, and engagement are core functions of the role. This position is not a corporate role and will be located in a Fulfillment Center.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Lead, manage, and develop a team of 20 to 50 Amazon Associates.
  2. Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed.
  3. Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
  4. Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates.
  5. Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
  6. Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  7. Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality.
This role requires working on a 4x3 or 5x2 schedule. The position requires shift rotation 2-3 times per year.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience as a People Manager
  3. Minimum 3 years of general work experience
  4. Advanced English proficiency (B2+ level) Proven experience managing departmental KPIs and driving results
  5. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field
  2. Logistics experience in operations environment, preferably in First/Middle Mile Operations
  3. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent degree
  4. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques
  5. Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or higher)
