Key Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic cable installation, including aerial, underground, and internal cabling.
• Execute fiber optic splicing (fusion and mechanical) with precision and efficiency.
• Terminate fiber optic connectors and prepare cables for connection.
• Test fiber optic lines using OTDR, optical power meters, and other relevant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair fiber optic network faults and damages.
• Interpret network diagrams and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and company quality guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and documentation.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in telecommunications or electronics is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with fiber optic installation and maintenance.
• Proven ability in fiber optic splicing and termination techniques.
• Experience operating and interpreting results from OTDR, VFL, and power meters.
• Understanding of fiber optic network principles and components.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation and blueprints.
• Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to work in various conditions, including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.
