Lhoist North America, a major supplier of lime, limestone, and minerals products to the North American marketplace, is seeking experienced Mine Engineers, Process Engineers, Project Engineers, Mechanical/Electrical Engineers and Geologists to join their teams in the United States.

Mine Engineer & Geologist Responsibilities:

• Survey and track quality control data to define ore zone contact limits in pit to improve ore recovery in all pits.
• Survey and record extraction patterns.
• Maintain mine plan records for future reference and adjacent pattern layouts.
• Review grade information in active pits to improve mining accuracy. Layout pit designs and project work for mining accuracy and improvements to ore recovery.
• Create short and medium term mine plans.
• Communicate mine plans to the quarry operators.
• Coordinate Exploratory Drilling campaigns including logging, collection and organizing of samples for onsite analysis, and inventorying sample splits.
• Complete short term mining plans to keep operations on budget and drive the development of a long-term site quarry plan.
• Lead the exploration and geologic reconnaissance.
• Field Mapping, drilling, coring, zone definition.
• Update and maintain new and existing geologic interpretations.
• Constantly improve and develop geologic interpretation and model.
• Identify opportunities quality optimization and improve utilization of the natural resource.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• The Project Engineer contributes to the delivery of small to large CAPEX projects (greenfield, brownfield, optimization, etc.).
• Collects existing site information (drawings, P&ID, utilities…)
• Makes site survey, 3D scans and takes site measurement as required.
• Prepares and develops conceptual designs.
• Makes preliminary Flow Sheets.
• Makes preliminary GA drawings (2D and 3D drawings).
• Makes preliminary equipment and instrument lists.
• Prepares all necessary documentation for the Project cost estimation and tendering process.
• Contributes to technical evaluation and clarification during the bid and contract process.
• Provides guidance to external engineering team.
• Participates in Safety, Maintenance, Operability and Construction reviews.
• Transmits construction documents to construction team.
• Manages and archives all technical documents related to the project.
• Controls and inspects construction sites and fabrication shops as required.

Electrical & Automation Engineer Responsibilities:

• Provide Automation support to LNA sites to achieve a high level of equipment safety, network security and operational efficiencies.
• Support and programming of Wonderware Intouch, Wonderware Historian, Rockwell PlantPAx and Factory Talk View SE systems at the plants.
• Maintain regular backup of all devices (VMs, PLCs, HMI's, Network Switches, VFD's, etc.).
• Work with Capital Projects/Engineering team as necessary.
• Program, configure and setup, Allen Bradley 750 series drives, SMC Flex soft starts, E3 plus and E300 overloads.
• Support the implementation of plant process networks and automation improvement projects.
• Support design and programming of process control and automation systems in the plants.
• Maintain process network and automation system at plants.
• Maintain up-to-date network architecture diagrams.
• Set up maintenance, calibration and interconnectivity of precision instruments, meters.

Process Engineer Responsibilities:

• To challenge and develop process mastery and energy efficiency in our plants by leading technical & operational advancements that contribute to reducing operating costs while enhancing product quality and ensuring environment compliance.
• May support programming of Wonderware Intouch, Wonderware Historian, Rockwell PlantPAx and Factory Talk View SE systems at the plants.
• Set up maintenance, calibration and interconnectivity of precision instruments, meters, analyzers, scanners and other control/monitoring devices.
• Provide technical assistance to all plant personnel in troubleshooting and solving process control and automation system problems.
• Direct, coordinate and exercise functional authority for planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and completing process engineering projects within the area of responsibility.
• Provide technical support to plant personnel on new and existing processes and be an expert resource for information for the design and installation of all types of process equipment applicable to the lime/minerals manufacturing processes.
