We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team on-site at our Guadalajara facility. In this role, you will lead quality assurance and test automation for complex software systems and embedded/wireless IoT devices, ensuring our hardware and mobile platforms meet the highest standards of reliability.
- Drive Test Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for complex software systems and mobile applications using Python.
- Embedded & IoT Testing: Validate embedded Linux environments, IoT firmware, and wireless device capabilities through rigorous automated testing.
- Full-Lifecycle QA: Develop comprehensive test plans, build regression suites, and execute consistency checks across multiple devices, OS versions, and hardware platforms.
- Defect Analysis & Root Cause Diagnosis: Perform deep root cause analysis on identified defects, document bugs, and work directly with developers to drive fast resolution.
- Test Infrastructure & Optimization: Maintain test environments, refine QA processes, and review solution designs/code during peer reviews to improve overall product architecture.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Create concise test reports and release notes for stakeholders, fostering cross-functional alignment across hardware and software teams.
- Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance with a heavy focus on test automation.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven background working with complex software systems and IoT / Wireless devices.
- Embedded Systems: Solid working knowledge of embedded principles, including hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Embedded Linux.
- Scripting Skills: Strong proficiency in Python for test automation, custom scripting, and data analysis.
- On-Site Presence: Full-time commitment to working on-site in Guadalajara to enable direct hardware interaction and team collaboration.
⭐ Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Yocto Project within Embedded Linux environments.
- Familiarity with the Android SDK for mobile test development and debugging.
- Work directly with physical, cutting-edge consumer electronics and smart IoT hardware.
- Collaborate in a tight-knit, high-impact engineering environment in Guadalajara.
- Be a core contributor to product launches used by thousands of consumers globally.
