**Job Description**:
FTA Supervisor, San Luis Potosí.
As a Free Trade Agreement Supervisor, you will play a key role with Central functions structured to support shared trade compliance activities for Mexico & the North America Regional team.
FTA Supervisor is responsible for ensuring 3M compliance with Free Trade Agreements, identify and address Trade and Customs risk, assessing and mitigating risk to ensure compliance with Mexican Customs.
This role will support the development and maintenance of corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance along customs operation, import programs (IMMEX / PROSEC) and security programs (C-TPAT / OEA).
Key responsibilities
- Oversees & executes all aspects for Free Trade Agreements to ensure full compliance with the issuance and obtention of Certificates of Origin for all entities in Mexico.
- Define the strategy in order to obtain the greatest benefit and savings coming from the appliance of Certificates at the import process.
- Implement controls to address risk.
- FTA Supervisor is responsible to successfully ensure Savings projects for all Mexico plants.
- Successfully meet expectations and completion dates of each saving projects.
- Effective and transparent communication; visibility, promptly communicate and address any roadblocks issue to prevent surprises/delay to timelines.
- Provide support to the global team on issues of certification of origin for import and export operations carried out with Mexico.
- Provide guidance on issues of origin to special projects in the areas of purchasing, manufacturing, sales, etc.
- Provide guidance on issues of origin (preferential and non-preferential) to the areas of purchasing, manufacturing, sales, tenders, etc.
- Support MX One Team Vision.
The impact you will have in this role:

- FTA Supervisor will be responsible for providing professional leadership, management, coordination and tactical execution of multiple projects and related activities.
- Responsible for overseeing, manage and control the strategy of Free Trade Agreements for all the 3M Mexico sites.
- Identify risk activities and areas to create preventive and correction plan.
- Ensure necessary compliance for IMMEX program, Security programs AEO & C-TPAT.
- Conduct risk assessment for Free Trade Agreements scope.
- Contribute to strategic vision and implementation of the 3M Trade Compliance team.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in International or Foreign Trade, International Business, Business Management or similar.
- Master's degree preferable.
- 8+ years of experience in Trade Compliance filed & Free Trade Agreements.
- 5+ years in a leadership position, preferable in operational units with functional or disciplinary responsibility for other individuals.
- Critical thinking skills: strong ability to navigate ambiguity and shape path forward.
- Strong Leadership skills with ability to manage people and teams to deliver results.
- Experience leading large, complex, multi-function projects.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new concepts and contribute to unfamiliar functions and situations.
- Experience working with international businesses or functions.
- Excellent team player that works well in a collaborative setting
