Job Summary

Job summary:
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Sr EH&S Engineer located in Guadalajara North Campus.
Reporting to the EH&S Manager, the Sr EH&S Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
What a typical day looks like:

- Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
- Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determines requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds and installs or directs installation of safety devices on machinery.
- Conducts or coordinates safety training to educate workers about emergency response, safety policies, laws and practices.
- Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.
- Conducts air quality tests for presence of harmful gases and vapors.
- Responsible for identifying health and safety hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Serves as internal consultant to business units on ergonomics, hazardous materials, industrial hygiene and fire and chemical safety matters.
- Audits business units.
- Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and engineers regarding facilities, chemicals and other workplace health and safety related matters.
- Compiles and submits safety reports.
- Administers workers compensation, OSHA 2000 log and return to work program.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:

- Indispensable Sr level experience in similar position coordinating EH&S department, within manufacturing industry (preferably metal-mechanical).
- Experience in personnel management.
- Experience in coordinating emergency response and legal requirements.
- Knowledge of safety standards, machinery safety, process establishment, accident investigation, identification of risks and unsafe conditions.
