Manufacturing Engineer Kaizen Supervisor
**Responsibilities**:
- Hires ad trains Kaizen department staff.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of Kaizen staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Organizes and leads Kaizen trainings.
- Sets the shift schedule and assignments.
- Develops policies and procedures.
- Orders tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Responds to maintenance requests.
- Makes sure projects stay on schedule.
- Leads safety inspections at worksites.
- Evaluates worksites to determine necessary improvement work.
- Escalates issues to management and recommends solutions.
- Ensures the team follows all company policies and procedures.
- Makes sure the team adheres to safety regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Kaizen department.
- Evaluates equipment to determine improvements or repairs that need to be performed.
- Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
- Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Ensures Kaizen activities and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific projects.
- Knows maintenance best practices.
- Demonstrates time management and organization skills.
Optional Requirements:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
- Ability to plan schedules for Kaizen Techs.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
