**Assurance Professional**

**A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)**

Being part of the audit engagement team, Assurance Professional will significantly contribute in identifying issues and defining corrective actions that will impact important business decisions across Siemens Energy.
Assurance Professional will evaluate compliance with operational and financial guidelines and procedures, identify the root cause of critical operational or financial issues, assess the level of impact on the business, and advise Management on defined actions to mitigate and prevent identified issues in the future.
**How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)**
- Perform (data) analyses to ensure that all risks are identified at early stage of audit planning
- Perform the audit engagement in coordination with the Assurance Manager and use analytical skills to identify root causes of findings and mitigating improvement areas
- Collaborate with the engagement team to prepare for engagements by reviewing the audit scope, determining the work plan, and participating in the risk assessment of the client environment prior to fieldwork.
- Execute assigned sections of the work plan to identify potential issues, areas for improvement, and formulate recommended actions through review of documentation and client inquiry.
- Provide timely status updates to the Assurance Manager and Assurance Director by communicating observations, engagement risks, and potential roadblocks.
- Actively seek clarification amongst team members on engagement task requirements, processes, controls and technical matters as needed.
- Prepare working papers and review initial drafts of less experienced team members for discussion with the Assurance Manager.
- Discuss cleared audit findings with the client and agree on management planned actions.
Draft initial sections of the audit report and participate in discussions with management.
- Conclude and document audit observations and derive mitigating actions
- Act as a change agent by participating in forward-looking projects that provide assurance for critical business matters.
**What You Bring (requirements)**

In addition to an agile, diverse, and inclusive mindset you require:

- 5+ years of professional experience within a multinational enterprise, a Big4 accounting firm or consulting.
- Strong past performance in academics (finance, IT, business, engineering, legal, mathematics, or others; CPA, MBA, or Data Analytics Master education desirable but not mandatory)
- Strong experience ('hot skill') in at least one of the following or similar areas: Accounting, Data Analytics, Technology & Innovation, Project Management, Supply Chain Management.
Legal & Compliance or Strategy
- Desire and potential to develop into future leadership roles within Siemens Energy as your next career step
- Advanced spoken and written English
