This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a team of functional consultants for a large SAP support and maintenance project across several SAP landscapes.
The candidate should possess broad functional knowledge in their domain and in-depth technical knowledge in SAP Finance and Controlling modules and their integration points.The SAP FICO Consultant will be accountable for:Resolving SAP issues reported by business users and delivering enhancements as required.Completing tasks assigned by team lead and project manager, reviewing solutions designed by team members and proposing improvements.Working proactively with business users to identify and resolve recurring issues.RequirementsEssentialIn-depth functional understanding and expert knowledge in configuration and maintenance of SAP systems.Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences/pharmaceutical domain.At least 2 years of proven experience as a functional FICO consultant participating in incident and change management.Experience performing SAP FI configuration is a must.Experience on core FI processes (General Ledger, AR, Taxes, Banks) and particularly AP including invoice verification processes and host-to-host bank transactions.Good understanding of CO core modules mainly on integration within FI in Cost Center Accounting and Internal Orders.Good understanding of integration with other modules for Commercial and Logistics scenarios.Ability to translate requirements into high-level solutions and detailed functional specifications.Exposure to highly customized SAP environments and working on interfaces with Non-SAP systems.Very good understanding of integration of SAP modules in end-to-end business processes.Ability to work in large, complementary teams.Exposure to Run SAP (Solution Manager) methodologies.Good understanding of GXP and SOX requirements, with working experience in a validated environment.Aware of release governance processes and experience in working with incident management tools.Experience with various estimation techniques.Good communication and social skills.Well-versed in English and Spanish, with good spoken and written skills.Proactive approach to problem-solving.Experience working in a globally distributed team.DesirableControlling submodules as Product Costing/Profitability Analysis.Hands-on experience in other functional SAP core modules (FI, MM, PP).Participation in full SAP implementations.SAP certifications.ABAP (debugging).Specific country localizations (e.g., Electronic Invoicing, Taxbra).Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required; additional Agile certifications preferred.Location: Guadalajara (hybrid - Expectation of working in the office 3 days a week)When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
