**Job Description Summary**: GE Aerospace is a world-leading provider of jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Avionics Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.
As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of our avionics products.
This role requires a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Develop and define system requirements, architectures and specifications.
- Perform system integration and testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, and hardware engineers, to develop and validate system requirements.
- Conduct system-level troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
- Coordinate with project managers to track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and management.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members to achieve project goals.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, testing or hardware/software product development.
- Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
**Desired Qualifications**
- Experience in project management activities.
- Experience with system integration and testing.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of software development processes and programming languages (e.g., C, C++).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash).
- Understanding of safety-critical systems and reliability engineering.
- Experience with aviation data transfer/communication standards: ARINC 664, Ethernet.
- Knowledge of avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
- Certification in project management.
