**Responsibilities**:
**The** **Opportunity**

Lead and develop consumer centric product designs addressing problems to solve considering business opportunities for the Global Baked platform across multiple regions creating product options and technical solutions to drive growth and competitive advantage.
Additionally, as part of the responsibilities this role closely collaborates with regional and global business unit to coordinate synergies and opportunities to transfer or import product knowledge and leverage business impact.
**Your Impact**

As R&D Product Development Sr.
Engineer your responsibilities would consist of:

- Utilize scientific methods and Food science knowledge to develop novel technical solutions for innovation, brand stewardship, productivity and portfolio transformation initiatives for multi-regional deployment within PepsiCo that provide layer of technical protection to the business.
- Collaborating closely with Product Intelligence R&D teams to understand consumer needs and jobs to be done, to translate into product technical solutions.
- Screen product formulation at bench and be able to scale-up the optimized formulation through DOE at pilot scale to create innovation possibilities.
- Collaborate closely with Process team to scope new capital requirement and specify unit operation performance criteria.
- Lead global brand stewardship to maximize the scale advantages for PepsiCo's existing business, maintaining market leadership.
- Lead overall project management agenda including: technical approach, setting timelines and budgeting, ensuring processes and systems meet technical and business objectives.
- Leverage external and internal experts for key consumer trends, scientific, analytical and sensory research.
- Perform basic economic evaluations on new products and estimate the potential business value.
- Partner externally to source ingredients and leverage vendor expertise to implement new technical solutions.
- Participate as an active member of cross-functional business development teams comprised of individuals from a variety of disciplines, including Global Procurement, Engineering and Regional R&D teams to scale successful processes to commercial production scale.
- Provide technical support to promote Baked and Quaker product development, designing products with superior competitive advantages and generating technical support to execute technology transfer professionally and in time.
Collaborate to ensure sustain growth throughout updated product designs of baked products.
Qualifications:
**Who Are We Looking For?

**Education**:

- BSc in Food Science and/or technology, Chemical Engineering or related specialty

**Experience **required**:

- 5 years of experience in Product Development; Baked products design, formulation and food process experience (mandatory)
- Demonstrated capability to effectively manage complex projects and multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluent Oral and Written English Skills (mandatory)
