**About the Company**
Studio Palíndromo is a digital video production company that produces original, English-language, documentary-style content for publishing across various channels (YouTube, Facebook, etc.) using archival and stock video and photo assets edited in a post-production environment. You’ll be joining a team of over a dozen passionate storytellers and creatives who enjoy what they do.
**Position Description**
We are adding a full-time video editor to the team. The Video Editor / Visual Storyteller will be provided a script and the voice-over file for a short-form, documentary-style video and is responsible for developing visual stories from concept to execution, including researching archival stock assets, sound design, soundtrack, final edit, and rendering. New content will be produced at a fast pace, with multiple projects weekly.
**Responsibilities**
- Edit videos with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, create graphics using Adobe Photoshop, and edit sound to incorporate narration and soundtracks.
- Identify and source appropriate video assets from public domain and licensing services, making sound editorial judgments about shot and audio selection, sequences, and storytelling.
- Make sound editorial judgments to cut longer-form content into compelling shorter-form content suited for each social platform.
- Add subtitle files as hard coded motion graphics elements to videos.
- Adapt as creative assignments change and evolve, while maintaining quality
- Set priorities while handling multiple projects.
**Qualifications**
- Proficient in English.
- Experience in short-form editing and creating content for the web, especially YouTube.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily Premiere, with familiarity and ability to navigate After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition.
- Basic understanding of codecs, raw video files, exporting, transcoding and compression techniques.
- Organized, dependable, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Able to work collaboratively within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Solid research skills to find footage related to the story.
**Salary and Benefits**
- $18,000 MXN per month (gross), plus quarterly bonus opportunities.
- 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day) with flexible working hours
- Generous paid leave policy.
