Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the identifying, analyzing, developing project plans, actions and metrics associated with the performance improvement projects with a select group of suppliers.

Actions could include, but not limited to:

- Value stream mapping
- SIPOC [Supply Input Process Output Customer] or other structured [Lean technique] problem solving techniques
- Forecast consolidation
- Optimization of lot sizes
- Stocking programs
- Non-value add elimination
- Regular interaction and follow up with suppliers on performance issues
- Regular interactions with materials management at the sites
- Strategic planning of on time delivery and lead time reduction projects

Responsible for assessing supplier capabilities to ensure supplier is able to reach the level of performance, capability and capacity required to meet our business needs.

Will also work with the assigned SQE to help identify and resolve any quality issues with targeted supplier.

Education / Experience Required:

- Four (4) year Technical, Business or other college degree or 4 years industry experience in Lieu of degree

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

- Strong project management skills
- Technically competent to interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials, Supply / Demand Management as well as all levels within the Supplier’s organization
- Good communication, organization and follow up skills.

Job Competencies:

- Communicates Effectively

Preferred
- 5 + years of Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Logistics or Manufacturing (exempt position) experience
- Strong foundry experience is preferred.
