Staff Accountant

**Staff Accountant**:
To become integral part of the Canada Accounting Team by assisting in AP full cycle tasks.

**Primary Functions**:

- Process tour expenses/costs payments on a daily basis
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Participate in month-end close process

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Assist Supervisor in all assignments, making sure that all members of the Finance Department have the proper resources and support
- Work extended hours during busy season or on special projects as needed
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned

**Standard Department Member Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate and/or perform training of staff members as requested
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
- Foster communication within the department, with other departments and with management
- Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures so as to serve as an effective staff member
- Support company policies and management decisions with a sense of urgency and professionalism

**Requirements**:
Post high school certificate/diploma completed or ongoing in Accounting/Finance required. One to two years of previous accounting experience preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required and Netsuite software knowledge is a plus. English speaking.
