Job Statement

Develop and manage the function of procurement supplier search, qualify and development for both the local procurement operations of MO

JOb Duties and responsibilities

Lead role in supplier sourcing, qualifying, developing and managing in Mexico and Central America, as required in support of the operational teams of MO procurement and/or project management.
Lead role in developing, implementing and monitoring suppliers within the projects and categories agreed with the operational procurement teams, to assist day-to-day operational procurement success.

Research to identify potential suppliers
Contact and pre-qualification audits
Part qualification process
Contract / Agreement negotiation
Develop NDA contracts and all documentation to introduce a new vendor into our Panel suppliers.
Develop benchmarking of new projects for new equipments, components and Raw Materials for METSO Outotec Local and Global.
Create RFQ Package for the selected supplier panel for new equipments, component and/or new tools.
Obtain and analyze quotes for new equipment, components and/or tools.
Contract and pricing negotiations for all new projects, equipments components and/or tool.
Preparing and leading negotiations as well as establishing price/conditions-agreements
Negotiating Terms & Condition & Contract Terms ,
Managing contract phases (payment terms, lead-times) and executing pay-back management,
Prepare and present supplier award recommendation to the Sourcing Committee or Business Line.
Submit Nomination Letter to the award supplier for each of the Project.
Issue Purchase Orders for all new Projects including PUR components to the award suppliers.
Follow up the development of new projects with Suppliers and provide support to the project team with the new projects or procurement needs from each business line.

Production startup and compliance
Handover to operational procurement
Localization requirements identification, and support to meet the requirements
Strong oversight to risk management, working capital employed, inventory levels, and product quality to specifications.
Supplier intelligence, budgetary volume projections, capacity monitoring, price development and projections.
Claims management monitoring prior to handoff
Category and Sourcing Project savings development and reporting
Category index management
Communicate and coordinate all the purchasing activities with the project manager.
Analysis and monthly report of each project purchasing index.
Comply with the quality and environment standards procedures and instructions (those applicable).
TCP (total cost of procurement) management of strategic suppliers
Document control and IP management
Commercial and Ethical compliance to Metso policies and applicable laws.
Utilization of the global procurement teams to accomplish the on-the-ground strategic supplier development, including resource training and management.
Strong interface to BU Quality teams in support of suppler qualification, quality related documentation and compliance.
Strong interface to BU Logistics teams in support of supplier qualification, quality related documentation and compliance.
Improve of Supplier Panel for Mexico and Central America operations.
Understanding customer needs and providing optimum solutions,
Establishing supplier strategy.
Other related and associated procurement support projects and duties.
