**JOB DESCRIPTION**
This position handles deposits, purchase orders, accounts payable, monthly reporting and also provides backs up for accounts receivable.
**JOB COMPLEXITY**
Ensure that Accounts Payable is accurate and in compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, purchase order requests, and check requests
Assist with annual audit preparation
Responsible for monitoring vendor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Prepare month-end closing reports
Manage reconciliation and payment of all accounts payable
Train Accounting Assistant - Generalist and interns in the Accounts Payable process
Assist with additional service area functions as needed
Ensure independent contractors meet government regulations
Responsible for assigning Purchase Order numbers, verifying correct codes and other
requirements or comments
Assist with performing monthly bank reconciliations
**MINIMUM COMPETENCIES**
1 years’ experience in accounting
experience in program QuickBooks
Working knowledge of accounting programs (MIP preferred) and MS office (Excel, Word, Google, Apple products)
Good organizational, interpersonal, time management analytical skills
Good computer skills
Ability to perform data entry and ten-key functions
Ability to maintain friendly, positive and supportive approach with all employees and customers
**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
Have Sentry/Visa
English 75%
Be an American resident
i work in San Diego
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
