**Work Schedule**:
This position is full-time and hybrid Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage. At least 3 days a week in the office.

**Purpose of Your Work**:
As a **Buyer/Purchaser**, working within Redwood Logistics (our parent company) our sourcing and purchasing group will be responsible for supporting all Redwood’s purchasing needs across all business units. You will use experience and knowledge to develop and implement the strategy through the sourcing process. You will drive program compliance through Supplier and Contract Management building value for Redwood. You will support balanced strategies that will actively seek to reduce and/or control costs for products and services while growing efficiencies for the business.

**How You Make a Difference Everyday**:

- Internal support to all Business Units
- Closely partner with B.U. leaders to develop an improved purchasing process.
- Understand business targets related to vendor partnerships and costs.
- Communicate clearly and support contract expirations and renews to business leaders.
- Partner with business leaders in the negotiation with vendors and suppliers.
- Vendor Management
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with our vendor management software and process.
- Review key terms on open contracts with key vendors.
- Be a first line of contact and establish strategic relationships with suppliers.
- Assists accounting to track and resolve invoice/purchase discrepancies.
- Lead discussions with critical suppliers around long-term objectives and strategies, ongoing market trends, innovation and technology advances, and potential investment decisions.
- Project Management
- Creating and implementing process improvements to our vendor management process
- Develop and run RFPs (requests for proposals).
- Other purchasing and vendor management support as needed.
- Special projects as assigned.

**You’ve Got This?**
- B.S. in supply chain, finance, or related field. Or quantifiable experience in purchasing.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of reporting and presentation, including using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point).
- Knowledge of purchasing principles, procedures and negotiating techniques normally acquired through 1-3 years’ experience in purchasing or related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Demonstrates timely and efficient follow-through on deliverables.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Requires analytical abilities sufficient to negotiate purchasing contracts, develop bids, and process related to purchasing procedures.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish; proficient level for verbal and written communication
