Latam Payroll Operations Lead

**What **will you **do?**
The main purpose of this role is to supervise & manage overall the team execution of the payroll process and social security/payroll related obligations for LATAM Region (Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Peru), this role is responsible for supervising and ensuring the creation and maintenance of the Payroll Service Model, SLA and service portfolio and calculating, analyzing, and executing payroll and Social Security, and other local obligations by country in accordance with the applicable laws.
From the Payroll perspective, measure, supervise and control activities during the payroll process, giving support to the payroll team in any question or compliance issue ensuring alignment with local and federal regulations/Law in each country. Manage SOX compliance execution of best practice methods.
From the Taxes perspective, measure, supervise and control activities as of relates the social security and other Local Tax related to payroll obligation according to applicable Federal laws and regulations in each country. Manage SOX compliance execution of best practice methods.
Measure and monitor Operational performance indicators and KPI’s. Searching for excellences. Identify key opportunities for improvements and quick fixes.
Lead relationship our key customers and Partners such as HR teams, Finance, Treasury, and external audit firms to ensure operational excellence.
**How **will you **do it?**
- Assure on time, accurate and in compliance payroll execution and payment disbursement.
- Assure accurate and on time calculation and payment of Social Security and any other local tax contribution related to payroll.
- Deliver a full range of payroll and tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within time frame.
- For some countries support the implementation of Payroll Service model
- Create process efficiencies> create WD to Payroll system integrations, inbound and outbound reports, files, etc.
- Create and monitor the Key performance indicators, KPI’s and operational framework.
- Analyze and take actions from operational metrics.
- Identify and promote new ideas along with business solutions resulting in extended services to current clients.
- Estimate and respond to customer concerns and rising problems.
- Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise.
- Manage and coordinate relationship with different vendors/consultants, creating partnership to correctly perform the Local Tax, others process and solve complex tax situations.
- Identify, communicate to management, and mitigate payroll and tax risks.
- Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.

**What we look for**:
- College degree in Accounting or Finance, business administration.
- Over 4 years of experience running payroll and payroll taxes Mexico or LATAM desired. Over 4 years leading people.
- Specialized Knowledge: Corporate tax department experience as a plus.
- Skills: Strong accounting and analytical skills. Strong computer skills. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented & ability to multi-task. High experience on controlling operations.
- Languages: English 100%/ additional language.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Proven working experience as a Payroll/Tax Supervisor for LATAM or Mexico operations.
- General Knowledge and management experience of Local taxes, audits, and statutory compliance (Income tax, social security others)
- Excellent at meeting deadlines, solving problems, and communicating with impacts to engage the team members.
- Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationship.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Analytical skills, problems solving with detail orientation, innovative and strong ethical drivers.
