FEDE Engineer - Failure Mode Avoidance Tools Development & Support
- Lead development, testing, and deployment of Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) enhancements in the Ford Engineering Design Environment (FEDE) systems engineering tool set including:

- Quality History integration to DFMEA’s
- FMA plan in FEDE Workbench
- SCCAF managements in FEDE Workbench
- Seamlessly work with the IT matched-pair product teams to specify needed tool functionalities, elaborate & prioritize the backlog, and work within the Agile framework for deliveries
- Partner with Quality Office & Design Assurance teams to develop digital tool solutions for administration, execution, and measurement of FMA processes
- Coordinate efforts between Product Development, Quality, and Manufacturing to provide a robust and consistent tool
- Develop tool training documentation and other learning materials in support of deployment to Product Development functional teams. Lead training where required.

Minimum Qualifications:

- BS in Engineering required
- 3+ years of experience with SAE J1739 FMA disciplines, processes, and digital tools
- Expert-level experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM / Active Workspace
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work within cross functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

- MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable Engineering discipline
- Experience with Ford FMA Handbook and all required deliverables aligned with Ford Global Product Development System (GPDS) such as D/PFMEA’s, Boundary & P-diagrams, SCCAF, Robustness Checklists, and Change Point Analysis
- Working experience with Agile & SAFe methodologies and Rally backlog maintenance
- Global working experience with partners in Europe, China, South America, and/or Australia
- Strong working knowledge Systems Engineering principles, processes, and artifacts
