Product Line Manager

Responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities for multiple product groups or multiple manufacturing areas within the plant.
Ensure continuous improvement in production efficiency, quality and cost.
Establishes schedules and ensures effective and efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
Manages and trains a team of salaried production supervision staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates with other functional managers in planning and implementing Quality, Human Resources and Manufacturing programs.
- Monitors capacity and establishes production schedule to meet the requirements of existing and projected customer programs.
- Accountable for area’s quality, financial performance, material flow and delivery.
- Responsibility and ownership of manufacturing performance metrics and develops continuous improvement action plans.
- Participate in the creation of new policies and assist in the deployment of new employee related policies.
- Responsible for customer interaction and customer complaint response (8D).
JOB PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
- MBA preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing and operations related field
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience supervising a group of mid or senior level professionals and/or entry level managers in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to develop employees /managers and provide mentoring
- Ability to provide multi-functional leadership
