Supv - Quality

Purpose Statement: Manage the Focus Factory Operational quality assurance, control processes, and programs by developing, implementing, and administering quality standards and procedures assuring product quality, continual improvement, and customer satisfaction. Individual may lead, train, and mentor lower level Engineers.

Key Job Accountabilities:

- Ensure Quality team involvement in applicable product planning and manufacturing release processes.
- Leads monitoring and maintenance of Focus Factory Quality Metrics, focused on Continuous Improvement.
- Identification and implementation of best practices into Focus Factory
- Leads Focus Factory product and process quality improvement using function-appropriate tools (i.e. CAPA, audit, etc.)
- Ensure Quality team development and capabilities are according with the sector requirements
- Ensure the correct Site Management System performance into Focus Factory
- Accountable to execute on Plexus’ Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Additional Accountabilities:

- Ensure Quality participation and provide quality information for QBR’s.
- Ensure compliance into Focus Factory to applicable QMS documentation and communication effectiveness.
- Ensure Focus Factory compliance to applicable quality control processes (i.e. calibration, ESD, MSD, etc.).
- Quality contact for potential customers and external auditors.
- Supervise the support of problem identification in manufacturing and issues affecting quality.
- Manage Quality team training requirements.
- Support QMS strategies development.
- Occasional travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 10-20%).
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Three (3) years of related experience is required; Five (5) or more years of related experience is preferred.
- Certified Quality Engineer

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Other Qualifications:

- Displays Plexus Leadership Values and Competencies as applicable.
- Advanced knowledge in applicable industry standards and Quality tools (IPC, J-STD, Core Tools, etc.).
- Capability to assess, manage, develop, and mentor personnel direct reports.
- Knowledgeable in Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in data analysis tools.
- Capability in cross-functional team building skills.
- Ability to lead and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to quantify and assess benefits/risks of process improvements.
- Minitab.
- General office equipment and materials.

Work Environment:

- The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
