Senior Accountant

- Position Overview Staff Accountant is responsible for all areas related to month-end, quarter-end an year-end closing processing and reconciling accounts subledger to the general ledger. The position requires a “hands on” person who is flexible, hard-working and able to work well under pressure. Their diverse experience and will be to support and enable the Finance organization to meet the needs of a growing company.Responsibilities/Functions:

- Ensure timely execution and review of month-end and quarter-end close activities, i.e. account reconciliations and roll-forward schedules
- General Ledger responsibilities including prepare journal entries, analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Prepare monthly closing activities for our international entity including intercompany transactions, consolidations, accruals and foreign currency accounting and other areas
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Preparation of management reporting decks with the ability to provide insight into the flux analysis. Coordination of accounting matters with other departments. Preparation of schedules for annual and quarterly reviews as required for our external auditors. Participating in various special projects involving our enterprise accounting and reporting system. Identify, recommend and implement process improvement to increase efficiency and accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. Ensure verification of vendor accounts by reviewing the monthly vendor statements reconciliation. Communicate with vendors, customers, and business partners to resolve issues timely
- Responsible for month-end activities and reconciliation relate to accounts ledger
- Reconciliation of accountable VAT and Fiscal VAT- Assist with other projects as needed

**Experiência y requisitos**
- Accounting degree or equivalent experience - 5+ years of similar experience in Accountants
- Basic understanding accounting, knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including GL journal entries and accruals
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Well organized and attention to detail
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Maintains high performance standards; passion for excellence and continuous improvement
- Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately and is flexible
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Familiar with QAD ERP is a plus
