Responsible to develop manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing theory. Responsible to develop software to control robotic systems and launch process automatization for new product line design. Conceptualize and implement automated systems to meet customer specification and production requirement. Research and test new technologies to optimize industrial process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creativity and innovation for problem solving.
- Definition of process flows, work methods and activities of the operational staff
- Determines the components and tools necessary and write specification to achieve production goals according to the product specifications.
- Coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers to meet design requirements of the automation systems.
- New equipment request, validation and debugging using existing and/or developing new technologies or suppliers - Machinery validation thru statistical and capacity analysis.
- Achieve the release of the equipment by EHS department and assure the safe operation in the new machinery and tooling.
- Participation in the development of timing plans to achieve manufacturing goals and responsibilities per project.
- Responsible for training in maintenance and production in new equipment and / or processes
- Responsible for compliance with the department's metrics (Down time, Scrap, Change over time, Poke yokes efficiency) during the launch phases.
- Responsible of the deliverables to the operations team (Manufacturing, Maintenance and Production).
- Development of standard processes according to the area of expertise.

JOB PROFILE & EXPERIENCE

PROFILE

Engineering career

Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronic, Electronic or similar.

Proficiency communicating and presenting in English and Spanish.

EXPERIENCE

+5 years in Automotive Industry as Automation and/or Robots Engineer

Process Controls, Electrical Design, Process Design & Engineering, PC Hardware & Software, etc.

Required robot system Experience (ABB, Fanuc) and automation system.

Competent skills with networking, device communications, (ethernet, RS232, Device net, ProfNet, etc.)

Preferred software knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, SAP and CAD

Strong Electrical troubleshooting skills
