The Maintenance & Projects Manager has excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and make decisions under pressure. This position is responsible for leading the Projects, Maintenance, and Facilities teams to ensure continuous production process support, maximize equipment utilization with preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as follow up on continuous improvement projects through our Envista Business System to achieve a higher productivity, efficiency, and maintaining the equipment uptime above the desired goal.

This position, as the head of Projects Management, is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of assigned projects. He or she will be working closely with members of different teams to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper plan execution.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**

**As a Projects Manager**:

- Lead, direct and develop the assigned Project Management Engineer(s) reporting to him/her
- Coordinates with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Coordinate third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
- Reviewing project proposals for feasibility, scope, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation.

**As a Maintenance and Facilities Manager**:

- Works with a sense of urgency to keep the equipment up and running to fulfill our daily production goals.
- Manages and oversees the daily work of the assigned Maintenance and Projects teams in the different shifts.
- Follow up with his/her team on DM boards and KPIs to support and achieve the production goals.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and facilitate their implementation.
- Integrate projects related to Industry 4.0 to digitize the operation.
- Collaborates with the R&DT team to ensure successful project launches are sustained as conceived.
- Coordinate engineers and technicians in the review, presentation, and implementation of capital projects for process improvements
- Efficiently assign resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget to achieve projects and metrics of the department
- Supervises the implementation of standards linked to quality and customer requirements and makes sure all products are aligned to these requirements
- Participates in upper management communication forums to present projects and metrics
- Supervises safety and quality remediation projects on equipment and works to mitigate any possible impact on the process
- Identifies development needs for the team and provides training and growth opportunities.
- Develops, coaches, and manages the assigned engineering team.
- Fosters a collaborative environment through Envista’s CIRCLe values.

**Job Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of direct project management experience in a high-demand manufacturing environment
- Experience working in or supporting a complex manufacturing facility(s)
- Experience in troubleshooting electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC controls.
- Preventive maintenance tracking system ownership.
- Sense of urgency, leadership skills, proactive, self-driven, strong organization, and analytical thinker.
- Ability to guide, and motivate a team to bring them to higher standards.
- Strong analytical skills using Excel.
- Communicate effectively to a variety of customers.
- Strong effective communication skills oral/written in both Spanish and English.

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Lean or continuous improvement background.
- Medical industries background ISO 13485
- Experience with Medical validation
