**Quotation Specialist - Residential & Commercial Construction**:

The quotation specialist is responsible for developing technical quotations in the Residential and Construction segments for the USA market. This individual will work closely with the Residential and Complex Proposal teams supporting the field quotable product scope. This resource will analyze RFP documents before implementing a plan of attack to develop a technically complete bill of material. Responsibilities include interpretation of Plans & Specifications and configuration of the field quotable products within empower. The technical BOM should result in clean, executable orders, ensure company profitability, and meet all customer needs. This will require an in depth understanding of the various products and markets served by the ABB Electrification business.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Develop Clean, Competitive, Compliant, and Compelling proposals for projects in the Residential and Construction segments.
- Review proposal requests to ensure that they are high-probability/high-profitability.
- Interpret Drawings, Data Sheets, and Specifications to understand and adhere to design intent.
- Become technically proficient in Residential, Panelboards, Switchboards, Transformers, Safety Switches, and other products.
- Proactively seek necessary training, resources, and guidance for continued growth.
- Attend Project Strategy/Risk Meetings as needed supporting Complex Proposals.
- Escalate for assistance when normal processes are not providing desired results.
- Compete with Commercial Intensity to be a champion for our customers while keeping business objectives in sight.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field or Business Administration; advanced degree desirable.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Electrical Distribution & Control industry.
- Previous proposal generation or requisition engineering activities preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficient with proposal development tools including, but not limited to: SFDC, Empower, Word/Excel, PDF.
- Good communication, negotiation, autonomous, dynamic; conflict resolution.
- Intermediate-Advanced level of English (proficiency speaking).
