Position Summary
The Financial Reporting Accountant is primarily responsible for the preparation of subsidiary statutory financial statements designated by management in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
The jobholder will work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager, the Financial Controller of the entities designated and the Global Shared Service Centre (GSSC).

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of the annual subsidiary financial statements process for the entities designated by management, managing the delivery of accurate, insightful information to an agreed timetable - prepared in accordance with relevant local accounting standards
- Assist the production of the supporting papers, checklists and documentation relating to the above
- Assist with addressing queries arising from internal and external audits, liaising with the appropriate business contacts to provide resolution
- Assist with preparation of final subsidiary financial statements as part of ongoing projects to simplify the Group’s legal structure
- Driving simplification and continuous improvement of financial processes.
- Assist with ad-hoc statutory reporting as determined by management.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Accounting Bachelor’s degree (certified)
- Minimum of 2-6 years’ professional experience working in a Finance role in an international environment with strong commercial acumen
- Strong technical accounting background, including some experience of IFRS and producing financial statements
- Experience interfacing with internal and external auditors preferred

Skills & Competencies
- Good working knowledge of IFRS and differences to local GAAP
- Must be goal and achievement oriented and be accepting of change and a champion of it within the work environment.
- Results oriented individual that is focused and able to prioritise competing deadlines
- Excellent time management, written, communication and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics D365
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with advanced level of skill in Word and Excel
- Ability to form strong relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Good level of written and spoken English, including ability to communicate in a clear, professional and open manner.

- Group and local statutory auditor
