About the Role

Responsible for leading all aspects of tequila production in accordance with NOM-006-SCFI-2012.

Guarantee the authenticity of tequila and Diageo's products

Provide timely and accurate information to all important partners about the production process.

Provide all the technical support to avoid variation in the unitary operations for the production of Tequila's process

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle CRT notice notifications and follow up for compliance and resolution of the referred process or product.
- Carry out an improvement plan to reduce observations by CRT.
- Validate with ethics and integrity, transparency, and impartiality compliance with the rules applicable to tequila.
- Work in partnership with the Government Relations Sr. Manager for monitoring and supervision of the process and area.
- Prioritize the work team to cover the different distilleries to avoid non-conformities in our processes and products.
- Provide technical support in production areas and Aging areas that avoid deviations in the process, profile, and characteristics of the products.
- Lead improvement projects in the different production plants and in the formulation process, which guarantee adherence to the applicable Regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemist, Pharmacobiologist, or similar (Master's degree desirable).
- Minimum 5 years in Tequila production processes, (Agave reception, Quality assurance of Tequila processes, ISO 17025, Cooking, Milling / Extraction, Fermentation, Yeast propagation, Distillation, Maturation, Formulation, and Blend).
- Proficient in English and Spanish
- Proficient in the requirements established by NOM-006-SCFI-2012, NOM-070-SCFI-2016, and TTB.
- Knowledge of the ISO/IEC 17025 Standard.
- Minimum experience of 2 years in processes of regulation of alcoholic beverages.
- Knowledge of sensory analysis through triangular tests, by pairs, descriptive, scale, etc.
- Management of statistical tools for information analysis (descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, regression analysis, design of experiments).
