Technical Draftsperson

In this role as an industrial designer/technical draftsperson, you will be working on a diverse range of projects including facades, doors, paneling, signage, and joinery.
- **Role Outline & Responsibilities**_
- Work closely with the various Axolotl team members, including management, sales, and floor staff.
- Actively participate in ideation sessions and workshops both internally and externally with sales representatives, management, and the production team.
- Originate and develop ideas for the concept design stage. This will involve creating detailed design concepts through product illustrations, concept sketches, diagrams, design specifications, and technical drawings.
- Present designs to sales representatives or team leaders and discuss and make required modifications or amendments.
- **Experience & Requirements**_
- At least one year’s experience using CAD software, Illustrator, and the Adobe Creative Suite to prepare high-quality, accurate documentation.
- An ability and interest in pattern design.
- Verbal and oral competency in English.
- The ability to multi-task a wide range of small to medium-sized projects that vary widely in type, scope, and complexity.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- The ability to work autonomously and to keep on top of the tasks at hand.
- To liaise with production staff regarding the manufacture of items drafted.
- A high level written and oral communication skills.
- To be conscientious, hard-working capable of working in a team environment.
- A willingness to learn and show initiative.
- Strong organization/time management skills.
- Good mathematical ability.
- Relevant qualifications or experience.
