Job Description Summary Develops, oversees, and strives to maximize the efficiency of the transportation network necessary to provide end-to-end supply chains.Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory specific to area of responsibility.Improves logistics processes through strategic thinking, process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.Develops and maintains cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models. Tracks costs and savings for all transportation modes.Oversees carrier selection and renewals. Participates in contract negotiations and interfaces with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service.

**Job Description**:

- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues using root cause analysis problem solving process.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
- Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
- Negotiate transportation rates or services for CAPEX and additional transportation requests.
- Lead or participate in transportation sourcing initiatives
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers. Use the Logistics Financial Analysis tool to provide financial impact decisions on inventory vs. logistics costs.
- Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
- Lead or participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, performance evaluation and quarterly business reviews.
- Implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
- Exceed budgeted savings goals, tracks savings identified and secured.
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly KPI reporting to include premium and overall costs trends for leadership review.
- Manage freight audit and payment process including quarterly post audit of North America third party payment process.
- Provide logistics analysis to company using systems including Cost Requests, Total Landed Cost Studies and other costs requests.
- Provide plant logistics support for crisis situations.
- Train, mentor, support logistics operations teams on the current logistics processes, procedures and systems.
- Maintain master carrier contract and rate files.
- Manage a direct team of logistics professionals.
- All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education
Licenciatura en Comercio Exterior, Ingeniería Logística, Ingeniería Industrial o afín
Experiência mínima de 5 años en una posición similar en la Industria automotriz.
Experiência en el seguimiento a cruce de material.
Experiência Seguimiento a entrega de documentación correcta por parte de proveedores para correcto cruce y/o recibo de material.
Experiência en auditorias y su cumplimiento
Manejo de PFEP (ideal).
Ingles Avanzado.
