We operate in Mexico and have a strong foothold in the industry As a Tax Senior Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax planning strategies, and safeguarding our financial interests. Your expertise will directly impact our financial health and growth trajectory.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Tax Compliance and Reporting:

- Oversee the preparation of all tax filings, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Manage tax accounting staff responsible for accurate and timely reporting.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, advising the organization accordingly.

Tax Planning and Strategy:

- Evaluate the tax implications of company activities, including international transactions.
- Develop and implement tax-saving strategies to minimize our tax obligations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tax planning with business objectives.

Vendor and Advisor Management:

- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and other relevant vendors.
- Ensure efficient communication and collaboration to optimize tax-related processes.
- Provide support as needed to the other countries in the region as per projects or temporary assignments.

Risk Mitigation:

- Identify potential tax risks and proactively address them.
- Provide guidance to senior management on tax-related decisions.

Budget and Forecasting:

- Contribute to strategic decisions by providing insights related to tax implications.
- Assist in developing the tax budget and forecasting.

**The Individual**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 9 years of corporate managerial experience in tax accounting and compliance.
- Strong understanding of Mexican tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage complex tax projects and prioritize effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of QAD is a plus (non-compulsory) or SAP ERP as well.
- Experience with indirect taxes in other LATAM countries, USA, Canada. Desired, not mandatory.
