**Job Title**
Layout Designer Jr

**Position Purpose**
Responsible for the conception, creation, execution and management of signage, promotional displays, marketing collateral and advertising functions for all in-store visual content. The incumbent should have wide understanding of current retail trends with a visionary approach to design & importance of visual merchandising off shelf and in line - as well in the HP area for both channels (DIY & AZC).

**Primary Accountabilities**
- Develop new merchandising ideas/programs from design through implementation. Maintaining our visual merchandising dynamic to positively impact the customer's shopping experience, developing brand standards and maintaining brand integrity across all touchpoints. Communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers.
- Ensure signage for Line reviews for each category. Take lead in managing timetables for product signage material. Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials for Category Managers and vendors with: (qoutes, samples, manage the budget, and date lines).
- Prepare all materials for all seasonal store guides. Work together with the Visual Presentation Manager and Senior designer coordinating, planning and executing all related tasks on time and correctly. Maintain all visual presentation material within budget.
- Work Crossfunctionally with marketing and non-product teams to coordinate materials, budgets and shipping/delivery of all products on time. Participate in the evaluation of all materials being used on POP to achieve maximum efficiency and affect.
- Work in conjunction with areas such as Operations, Labor Security, Legal for all store signage requirements that they required.
- Maintain all standard stores, work in conjunction with the teams to coordinate the materials for store openings, so that the implementation of the signage is carried out in a timely manner before opening.
- Update and mantain the skus of signage with property cost and inventory at the DC's,

**Education & Experience**
Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study: Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Creative Visual Arts.
Years of Experience: One to two years.
Type of Experience: Project management, Retail, Store Operations, Merchandising, Visual Design
Special Certification or Technical Skills: Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop expert. Knowledge of other Adobe CC suite software a plus. At least 1-2 years of experience in a design related field. Photography experience is a plus. Microsoft Office Suite experience. Must understand Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an basic level. Retail backround is a plus. A solid understanding of rigids or plastics printing capabilities and limitations.
Other / Preferred: Organizational expertise. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Significant experience in a deadline driven environment. Retail experience a plus.
