**JR. UNIX/LINUX Administrator**

**Role Purpose. **A Linux engineer is required to be able to move forward with the patch plan, in addition to the fact that more than 50 CRs are attended weekly, this resource would enter the attention queue of CR and incident. Its planned to continue with the VCS provisioning in new infrastructure, also attends cyber vulnerabilities and automated solutions to accomplish security standards.

**Main activities**:

- This position will be responsible for carrying out all or some of the following activities:

- Provide business services, including platform services (IBMz, CICS, DB2, Data platform, UNIX/Linux servers, IBMi, Windows, and storage) to securely store and analyze data, as well as development services that enable faster delivery of data services. highly standardized platform including virtualization and cloud services.
- Establish automation teams to increase efficiency and reduce time spent on administrative tasks.
- Business stakeholder management to define product work plans and inform other HSBC areas of available technology infrastructure capabilities.
- The role supports many levels of service from tier 0, 1, & 2 and will have varying impact on the business, supporting all global services and business lines.

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge: UNIX/LINUX, Ansible, shell, Vmware vSphere.
- Experience: 3-5 years
- Skills: Proactive, Communication, Teamwork, Problem Solving, Leadership, Adaptability.
- Qualifications and Accreditations: Desiderable ITIL, RHCSA, English.
