- Needs to be self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions; will manage Trade Compliance Team to ensure adherence with Import/Export laws and regulations, comply with department metrics, and improve operational efficiency thru process automation.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trade Compliance Department Management
- Evaluate customs brokers, based on KPI´s.
- Internal compliance control program (Audits, Training, Processes implementation etc.)
- Assist team to develop and update compliance procedures and controls.
- Conducting internal audits and identifying opportunity areas.
- Support requirements of the company and government.
- Develop improvement projects.
- Implementation of new projects of the company where Trade Compliance is involved.
- Communication and support with areas involved.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of new regulations or law changes and determine countermeasures.- SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE- International Trade and Logistics Degree or similar.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Import / Export and Trade Compliance.
- NOMs knowledge.
- Proactive attitude and a high degree of teamwork.
- Strong desire to drive good results for the company.
- Strong sense of integrity and compliance.
- Leadership skills
- Attention to detail.
- Very effective communication skills
- Problem solver, able to work under time-sensitive circumstances, take initiative to address the situation before issues arise.
- Able to work effectively with all organizational functional areas and levels.
- Strong sense of initiative with a passion for problem-solving and process improvement.
- Language skills: English.- WORKING CONDITIONS- Office-based and home office environment.
