A buyer is responsible to maintain supply continuity according to ANS policies, so, it is responsible to research, evaluate and purchase different type of products, based on production requirements, new projects and any other type of requirements.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

General:

- Running the new PO suggestion report in EPICOR
- Analyzing the demand on the report and look for material availability using our current approved supplier’s data base and look for alternative sources when is needed,
- Process requisitions when needed
- Process and tracking purchase orders
- Process requests for advance payments when needed
- Administrating the PO’s (running OOR’s) updating continuously, ordered quantities, unit prices and delivery dates as needed.
- Communicate any delays or delivery dates changes to internal customers.
- Maintain permanent relationship with supplier and internal customers
- Send and negotiate expedite request to supplier when needed.
- Negotiate to try to get fair but reasonably low unit prices.
- Communicate DMR’s to suppliers and to request replacement parts, RMA’s and credit memos when required.
- Adds suppliers into EPICOR when needed.
- Audit suppliers to analyze their facilities and capabilities.
- Manage reasonable inventory levels, which ensure that budgets are met and inventory reduction goals are met.
- Pursue and achieve cost improvements in the part numbers assigned to your name, recognize and act on new purchase opportunities.

**SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE**
- 3 to 5 Years experience on purchasing and or planning areas
- Advanced English Language
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft word, power point).
- Critical Thinking and negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Teamwork skills

**EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Administrative career or industrial engineering) and/or Carnation by competencies (APICS, APROCAL, etc)

**SHIFT DETAIL**:
This position will work on site Guadalajara from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday.
