**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Position Summary**:
Ensure proper compliance with Mexican customs regulations, as well as compliance with the different programs in which the company participates and lead security in the supply chain through certification programs such as C-TPAT and OEA.

**Essential Functions**:

- This position is considered critical for the purposes of asset security and/or custody of the value chain.
- Customs Representative
- Analyze and interpret import and export regulations and communicate updates to the appropriate departments, teams and/or individuals.
- Represent the Company before the Foreign Trade authorities in Mexico & Tariff Classification.
- Tariff classification of goods in Mexican and U.S. tariffs.
- Single window procedures for customs permits and regulations.
- Provide support to KBRM Services and KBRM Distributor companies when necessary.
- Support in the implementation, monitoring and auditing of the CTPAT/OEA/Foreign Trade Certification
- Support for Annex 24/31
- Carry out all activities that are required by the nature of the position.
- Review/processing of Imports of Machinery, Equipment and Tools.
- Support in the electronic control of machinery and equipment inventory.
- Review/preparation of Tax Payment Imports.
- Support / Keep up to date with the control and obligations of the VAT/IEPS Certification.
- Control of Electronic Payments by Customs Account.
- Support in the development and improvement of processes of the IMMEX program, OEA Certifications. CTPAT, VAT-IEPS, PROSEC, etc.
- Development and implementation of projects related to Customs compliance.
- Lead and direct special projects in foreign trade.
- Support Mexico tax reporting, reconciliations, and audits.
- Support operations and group finance requests for financial data.
- Support Physical Inventory and Fixed Asset Physical Inventory.
- Carry out all activities that are required by the nature of the position.

**Management & Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- Direct Report Materials Manager
- Technician I, II - Import/Export reports to Trade Compliance Lead
- This position is directly responsible for managing other employees. Interns and students may or may not report to this position.

**Knowledge**:

- Mexican Customs Laws and Regulations
- General Rules of Foreign Trade
- Management of the LIGIE
- IMMEX Program
- Intermediate and/or advanced Excel
- SAP
- Management of import and export control systems
- USMCA/CUSMA/T-MEC

**Experience**:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in Mexico import-export
- Minimum experience of 5 years as a Customs Representative or Legal Representative.
- Tariff Classification
- VAT/IEPS Certification
- Annex 24
- Proficiency in the IMMEX program
- Fixed Asset Control
- Extensive knowledge of Mexican import/export laws.
- Exposure to SAP or other financial ERP systems preferred.
- Knowledge of customs accounting software.

**Skills**:

- Tariff Rate Program.
- Import and export control program.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work at both detail and strategic levels, work calmly under pressure and with frequent interruptions and display sound judgment.
- Ability to self-manage.
- Ability to analyze business issues, develop corrective actions and follow through to completion.
- Ability to prioritize multiple daily tasks.

**Education/Certifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Customs Broker License Preferred
