Responsible for a limited group of commodities in terms of negotiates pricing, facilitates purchases, and coordinates all activities required to purchase after sales parts and accessory commodities for NNA, NMEX and NLAC plants & Dealers. Analyze data and provide recommendations on course of actions. Locates and develops suppliers that can meet current and future production or non-production parts requirements. Ensures suppliers meet Nissan's goals for quality, cost and delivery. Coordinates with other departments to ensure an uninterrupted supply of parts to production lines and to solve supply problems. Prepares weekly status and adhoc reports on cost reductions, sourcing, process improvements and other defined goals. Validates the system data to ensure accurate reporting. Prepares presentations as required and maintains daily business support activities.

**Job Functions**:
Negotiates and establishes commodity prices for production parts. Handles assigned commodities. Ensures cost control in accordance with the Nissan revival plan cost reduction goals and requirements. Locates suppliers and develops their abilities to meet current and future production parts requirements. Ensures suppliers meet Nissan's goals for quality, cost and delivery. Performs comparative analysis of competing suppliers to select most competitive source for a specified commodity. Establishes contracts for assigned commodities; maintains purchase orders, and related purchasing records; maintains files and records of current and potential suppliers, materials and prices. Coordinates activities between all departments and supplier base to ensure uninterrupted supply of parts and resolution of supply issues and problems. Plans, develops, implements and maintains cost reduction plans in support of the department's cost reduction goals. Coordinates all functions, procedures and system related concerns between NNA-National and NNA-Smyrna regarding service, accessory, remanufactured and key value parts. Locates suppliers and negotiates for the procurement of facilities and MRO purchased items and services related to non-production purchasing.

As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

**Education**:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars in-house classroom training.

**Experience**:
One or more years of directly related experience in a professional level in Purchasing or Project Management preferably. (Desirable)

**Job Knowledge and Skill**:
Demonstrate commodity and market knowledge as well as purchasing sourcing and cost reduction. Commercial and legal regulations knowledge; good communication skills-both verbal and written; interpersonal; negotiation and cost and manufacturing process analysis skills.
