**Staff Scrum Master**

**Location/Division**:Mexico - Corporate Division

As part of the Digital Product Support team, you will be part of a passionate Platform Engineering team in the Digital Platforms and Engineering Group. You will be responsible for leading our agile processes for a project team of Site Reliability Engineers providing product support for and crafting, writing, and delivering software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Thermo Fisher Scientific's digital platforms.

As staff scum master, you will the team in becoming more productive and mature by implementing and supporting Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe principles. You will take ownership of promoting continuous improvement while meeting team goals efficiently and effectively. You will encourage the team to work together, speak up and step forward, advocating a self-organizing and self-managing team. You will further actively coach the team and individuals to improve efficiency, autonomy, and agility to react quickly to change.

**What will you do?**
- Mentor the team on Agile/Scrum values, principles, and techniques.
- Facilitate and support all Scrum team level ceremonies, e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint review/demo and retrospective.
- Function as a safeguard for the team to shield team from outside distractions and interferences and remove obstacles that stand in the way of team productivity and performance.
- Drive the re-definition, improvements and implementation of team metrics and SLAs.
- Recommend improvements and assist in creation of and changes to best practice.
- Build transparency in processes and remove impediments.
- Drive alignment across the team to improve team efficiency.
- Handle partner and customer concerns.
- Adapt plans, schedules, and resource assignments as required to respond to emerging requirements and risks.
- Collaborate with vendors, stakeholders, and other teams.
- Support the follow-the-sun model.
- Own the support on-call rotations across continents.

**How will you get here?**

**Education**

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience required.

**Experience**
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on Scrum Master experience in a technical environment.
- Strong experience working with Atlassian JIRA & Confluence
- Experience working in multi-cultural environments, ability to work with diverse personality types.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and communication.
- Outstanding organization and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
- Knowledge of regulated environments (e.g., GxP, ISO, GDPR, SOX, etc.) a plus
